Tasting Notes
A blend of 73% Semillon and 27% Sauvignon Blanc. This Bordeaux styled white blend characterizes the Zorgvliet winemaking philosophy of, "Elegance in Wine". The nose shows spice and lemongrass characteristics. The palate shows citrus, orange peel with powerful aromatic spices and a minerality originating from the Sauvignon Blanc component.

Yeast: A selection of French yeasts were used.
Description:
Both varieties were harvested at optimum ripeness. The juice from both varieties was pressed and allowed to settle for two days, where after they were taken to barrel and inoculated. Each variety was fermented separately in 225L French oak barrels and spent a total of 65 days in new wood. Thereafter the wine was removed from barrel and blended where after it spent a further 5 months on the lees in stainless-steel.
Malolactic fermentation: None
Wood aging: 100% new French barrels. The wine spent 65 days in barrel.
