Outside Stellenbosch,South Africa, at the foot of the Helderberg, Vergenoegd, Dutch for “satisfaction achieved”, has been in the Faure family for six generations. The Cape Dutch homestead is a historic monument and dates from 1773. The business is now in the capable hands of John Faure as Winemaker.
The Indian Runner Ducks play an important eco- friendly role at Vergenoegd. They patrol the vineyards daily, assisting in snail and pest control.
Adding to their many award winning reds, (Vergenoegd Cabernet Sauvignon and four time Grand Champion and gold medalist at Concours Mondial), the Classic range of rich, full bodied red wines, an elegant Estate Blend and a Port, is complimented by the Runner Duck range -playfully elegant and fun loving red, white and rosé blends.
